文章摘要：1990年以来，智利政府面临两大历史任务：实现民族和解，妥善处理与军方的关系和人权问题；在实现经济增长的同时关注社会公正，偿还军政府执政时期遗留的“社会债务”。实践证明，智利政府在这两方面的努力均取得了明显的成效。智利的经验可为中国建设和谐社会提供如下借鉴意义：政治稳定和社会稳定是社会和谐的基础，经济增长与社会公正必须互为前提。
