Abstract:In the year 2017，a number of countries and regions of the world，including the United States，Singapore，Australia and the others，have made positive progress in the field of cybersecurity legislation. Specifically，the new US administration headed by President Donald Trump has issued an executive order aiming at strengthening the cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure. United States House of Representatives has introduced an act，the NIST Cybersecurity Framework，Assessment，and Auditing Act of 2017，to facilitate the implementation of NIST’s Cybersecurity Framework. A draft bill，cited as Internet of Things （IoT） Cybersecurity Improvement Act of 2017，was enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the USA，aiming to provide minimal cybersecurity operational standards for Internet-connected devices purchased by Federal agencies. Singapore has issued its first cybersecurity protection law，the Cybersecurity Bill（draft），spurring the substantial progress of the comprehensive legislation at home. Australia and Russia have also strengthened legislation on critical infrastructure protection.
