2019年捷克发展报告

Abstract:Politically，2019 saw turbulences in the Czech Republic，yet support for the coalition government remained stable. Economy-wise，the Czech Republic launched policies to support research and innovation，with special focus on the development of transportation，industry，and nuclear energy. In international relations，the Czech Republic was generally in line with the European Union despite a few disputes around the acceptance of immigrants and environmental laws. The country remained dependent on institutions like the European Union，NATO，and Visegrad Group to exert influence on international issues. Echoing the appeal for “democracy” and “freedom” during the Velvet Revolution thirty years ago，the masses gathered again and launched protests against the government. The relationship between the Czech Republic and China experienced difficult moments throughout the year，caused by the country’s restriction of Huawei，the termination of the sister city agreement between Prague and Beijing，and the closing down of the China Centre at Charles University.
