Abstract:In 2019-2020，after three deadlocked and divisive elections，a year and a half of political paralysis，Israel finally formed the new government. During this period，the political situation of Israel was generally stable and its security situation was under control. Besides，national pride and happiness index of Israel still ranked high in the world. Under the influence of the COVID-19 epidemic，Israeli economy suffered a short-term setback，but its development trend was optimistic in the long run. The vitality of Israel’s innovative economy was maintained and played a key role in its fight against the epidemic. It is worth noting that the epidemic has eased the relationship between Israeli Jews and Arabs to a certain extent，but Trump’s “Deal of the Century” and the coalition government’s agreement to annex parts of the West Bank may intensify conflicts between the two parties. The epidemic triggered a new round of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel movements，which attracted the attention of the international community. Focusing on the social，economic and political aspects of Israel，this report describes the overall situation and the basic national conditions of Israel in 2019，and displays the basic dynamics of Israel’s social development.
