《环境保护法》修改饱受争议

Abstract:In 2012,the revision of the Law of Environmental Protection and the Civil Procedure Law proved sensational. The new Civil Procedure Law has been enforced since January 1,2012 is the first to expand its jurisdiction to environmental public interest litigation,ushering in a new era in China. However,the revision of the Environmental Protection Law has been proven very controversial,with many crying-out setbacks. In order to prevent the revision proposal from formal deliberation at the National People's Congress,leading environmental legalists appealed to Chairman WU Bangguo of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the NPC Standing Committee Legal Work Committee,pointing out the big hitches in the exposure draft and successfully convinced the NPC Standing Committee to postpone deliberation.
