Abstract:Structure of China’s one-time energy production and consumption as well as characteristics of coal resources and reserves，has determined China’s “coal-based” energy characteristics.Economic and social development of the “deep dependency”，as well as severe pollution of the environment determined that coal industry must embark on a clean utilization of sustainable development in the strategy of China’s energy industry.Since the 21st century，our country has made initial progress in the field of the clean utilization of coal energy leading by the main trends of international energy clean utilization，which is generally in the stage of tracking forefront technology，technology transfer and transformation，as well as the industrialization demonstration.Technological innovation and industrial applications which closely combined with China’s coal industry have been ranked in the forefront and leading the forefront.
