Abstract:Electricity power is an important basic industry and public utility. In the same time，electricity is the most widely used energy. The reform of electric power system plays a crucial role in the reform of whole economic system，especially the reform of the energy industry system. Compared with the past few years，the time for the reform of electric power is more suitable and ripe now. China’s macroeconomics rapidly recovers from the global financial crisis. The economy runs well，which enables the whole society has better capabilities to bear the pressures of electronic reform. In addition，the government has a good financial situation，which can provide solid financial guarantee for this reform. Since 2002，the new round reform of electric power has achieved initial successes，such as the separation of power generation and supply has mostly done，departing the complementary parts will be carried out，the construction of regional pilots has accumulated certain experiences，all of which has laid a sound foundation for further reform.
