Abstract:Qin Yuan，built by Ren Tong one hundred years ago，is regarded as the first city garden.With a short-time survival，Qin Tuan has initiated the cultural origin of Shahu Lake construction，which has a great significance to modern cultural construction in Shahu Lake Area.Ren Tong's construction of Qin Yuan and his writing of Sha Hu Zhi have revealed the ecological ideas of garden aesthetics and landscape harmony，as well as the realization of cultural and recreational functions，all of which should be regarded as the great cultural heritage in our city construction today.
