However，subject to the tightening of resource constraints and the shrinking of the crude oil mining industry，Henan’s crude oil output continued to decline，degree of external dependence on refined oil products up to 74.7%. In 2018，Henan’s economy will continue to maintain a stable and favorable development trend，oil consumption demand will continue to grow，the price scissors difference between demand and supply tends to widen further，it is estimated that the sales volume of refined oil products in Henan Province will reach 18.5 million tons in 2018，annual growth rate will be 1.6%，and the oil production of henan will fall to 2.62 million tons，year-on-year decrease of 7.3%. Facing a more serious development situation，Henan needs to make breakthroughs in areas such as improving resource production capacity，developing alternative industries such as shale oil，and enhancing the competitiveness of the entire chain industry. in order to achieve the sustainable development of Henan oil industry.
