澳门世界文化遗产的保护、开发与利用

Abstract:Macau city has a history of four hundred years of cultural exchange between the East and the West.The Historic Centre of Macau classified as World Heritage is the physical testimonial of this history.However, with the continuous development of Macau's gaming industry in the last century, and with gains in recent years surpassing the gaming industry in Las Vegas, in many people's impression, Macau is just a world-class gambling city, its rich cultural heritage is often overlooked. To build the "World tourism and leisure center" and to achieve appropriate diversity of Macau's Economy, development and use of World Heritage will be one important strategy.However, the development and utilization of the World Heritage also need to strengthen the protection and management. This paper summarized the protection and exploitation policies, ideas and planning by the Macau government in recent years on the World Heritage, and try to draw the outline of the development of the city towards the "World tourism and leisure center".
