1999~2018年回归以来澳门市政建设与城市发展

Abstract:Thanks to the rapid economic development of the Mainland，public resources in Macau have become ample after Reunification，with an increasing improvement of the quality of life of the population. To increase the service to visitors and to respond to the rapid growth of population，municipal construction requires additional investments that in turn correspond to urban development，in order to satisfy the needs of Macau’s population in basic education，childcare，medical care，transport and housing. Meanwhile，with the full support of the central government and assistance of neighbouring provinces and municipalities，certain municipal infrastructure projects do not require the use of Macau’s own land after Reunification. These include reservoirs，power stations，etc. The principal factors affecting Macau’s urban development include political system，society，demographics，the economy，culture，as well as legislation in urban planning and cultural heritage protection. The municipal construction of Macau should be combined with the interests of posterity，so that public interest and demands of the population to pursue for a better life and better homes can be satisfied.
