横琴开发与粤港澳区域新一轮更紧密合作

Abstract:Upon the approval of the Overall Program for the Development of Hengqin Island on August 14th，2009 by the State Council of China，PRC，Hengqin has become the third new district，following Pudong New District in Shanghai and the Seashore New District in Tianjin，which has been defined as the demonstrative district to push the development of Pear River Delta，to render service for the two SARs in Hong Kong ＆ Macau，what typically，to experiment with the closer regional cooperation among the adjoining areas in advance.In terms of these，the approval of the said Program has brought more opportunities for the regions mentioned.This paper has made a preliminary analysis to seek for the interrelations for the new coming round of regional cooperation，while at the same time，to explore the supposed roles of Macau in the involvement.
