2013年澳门旅客消费特点解析

Abstract:The tourism and gaming industry is one of the main economic driving forces in Macau. With the continuous development of the industry，Macau’s economy has maintained a rapid growth. In the first three quarters of 2013，visitor arrivals and per-capita spending of visitors were growing. Gaming revenue has reached a new height. The biggest increase in numbers of visitor arrivals was from Mainland China，whereas the number of visitors from the territories of Hong Kong and Taiwan declined. The per-capita spending of visitors has increased by 14.4%. However，given the price level of tourism consumption has increased，the actual growth was not significant. The total consumption structure of visitors has been relatively stable. Consumption in shopping has accounted for the highest proportion，whereas the proportion of consumption in entertainment has been low. The tourism consumption structures and shopping consumption structures of visitors from different places of residence were quite different. Because of the high accommodation costs and the insufficient sightseeing spots，the average length of stay time of visitors has been short. To develop into a world tourism and leisure centre，Macau needs a reasonable long-term systematic planning.
