基层德治背景下肥东县“新乡贤文化”建设实践与思考

Abstract:The rejuvenation of rural China has seen the best of times，which would not be possible without effective governance，hence the imperative need of a civilized local culture. China has a vast rural area with a huge population，therefore the priorities of moral development as well as its difficulties should lie in rural areas. Feidong County，based on the contemporary perspective of rural rejuvenation strategies and the historical background of cultural confidence，has innovated grassroots governance through morality，focused on role model effects and nurtured local civility. With Local Elite Club as platform，and Local Elite Association as support，it has striven to forge a New Local Elite Culture as a strong support to develop rural culture and an effective measure to upgrade the system of rural governance，which will achieve civility in local culture and efficacy in governance.
