Abstract:The United States under Trump administration upholds the idea of “America first”，is relatively conservative in international cooperation in Arctic affairs，and regards Russia and China as competitors in the Arctic region. In the Arctic affairs，the competitive situation in Arctic affairs is intensified. As the prospects for the opening of the Arctic Passages are getting better，Russia also pays more attention to the Northern Sea Route and further strengthens the control of the Northern Sea Route. Canada has issued a new Arctic policy document，and Norway has issued a document on scientific investigations in the Ny-Ålesund region of the Svalbard Islands. As the rotating Chairman of the Arctic Council，Iceland seeks to promote international cooperation in the sustainable development of the Arctic through the Arctic Council. Against this background，China should pay close attention to the development of the Arctic region，continue to strengthen its participation in Arctic affairs，and contribute to the good governance of the Arctic affairs.
