2019年日本社会热点问题及动向评述

Abstract:The year 2019 marks the beginning of Reiwa era in Japan，when the aging problem becomes even more serious meanwhile the fertility rate maintains at a low level and the problem of fewer children intensifies in Japan. In 2019，Japanese government launches a series of policies，including free children education and care service，to build a social security system covering all generations，which has gained some progress in relieving the burden of Japanese people in raising kids but still faced with multiple challenges such as the “standby children” waiting for entering the kindergarten. The year also witnesses a closure for the first term of Japanese strategic plan of local revitalization，with the situation of the ongoing polarization in Tokyo and lack of innovation and vitality of local economies. In the context of rising uncertainty both at home and abroad，the Tokyo Olympic Games will be held soon，which will bring Japan new opportunities and development.
