Abstract:Agriculture，as a key industrial sector of the national economy based on land resources，plays a crucial role in sustainable development. Food security is the basis of human survival and development. It is an important guarantee for social harmony，political stability and sustained economic development，and a major component of global economic governance. In the coming decades，agriculture will face unprecedented pressure from many aspects. Green agricultural development is an important strategy for governments to achieve the sustainable development goals. With large populations，BRICS have high food consumption. Despite that，they have huge potential for agricultural production，driving the development of global green agriculture. Thus，BRICS are required to comprehensively expand agricultural cooperation and exchanges，increase the benefits of agricultural technical cooperation，adjust the structure of green agricultural production，ensure global food security，and promote sustainable human development.
