Abstract:The Sino-U.S. trade friction unilaterally provoked by the United States hinders the process of globalization and economic development，and also has a certain impact on Japan’s investment in China. In the short term，as exports to the U.S. account for a small proportion of the total exports of Japanese companies in China，Sino-U.S. trade friction has a small negative impact on Japanese companies in China. However，with the prolonged and complicated trade frictions，Japan’s investment in China and its overseas layout will face adjustment in the future. Under the background of severe international environment and arduous domestic reforms，China is facing more severe challenges in attracting foreign investment. On the other hand，under the new situation，Japanese companies are also facing new opportunities for their development in China.
