Abstract:Political polarization，economic globalization，all-pervasive application of information technology and cultural diversity are developing into depth in the present-day world，bringing about so drastic changes in the environment for international communications that it is in for an era of a profound revolution. China’s socialism with distinct Chinese characteristics has entered into a new era and so has the country’s international communications. It is，therefore，necessary to make great efforts to push forward the great revolution and build up its international public opinion status corresponding to China’s international status and shoulder more important tasks，especially in shaping up the national image，conveying China’s voices，and carrying forward Chinese culture. In international communications，it is essential to overcome ideological and cultural barriers and equip themselves with certain levels of media technology and industrial development that demonstrates the strength of the media industry of a country. In order to adapt to the new situation，Chinese media need to make theoretical innovation and push forward the profound transformation of communications practice in their international exploration.
