Abstract:The report to the 19th CPC National Congress points out that “we will strengthen cultural exchanges with other countries，giving prominence to Chinese culture，while drawing on other cultures. We will strengthen capacity building in international communications and tell China stories well，presenting a true，3-dimensional and panoramic China，and enhance our country’s cultural soft power.” The 19th CPC National Congress has not only created new opportunities but also new requirements for Sino=Foreign cooperative communications. 2017 witnessed vigorous development in such cooperation，with the cooperation concept becoming more and more mature，the main bodies in cooperation becoming more diversified，cooperation forms constantly enriched and audience coverage broadened，playing an important role in strengthening the exchanges in ideas and culture，promoting the complementarity of communications resources，giving an impetus to transition and upgrading of Chinese news media through external forces，and improving China’s capacity of international communications.
