Abstract:This report elaborates on the focal and hot topics in the field of global news and communication in 2018 from the perspective of the communicative ecology，and summarizes six characteristics of the global communicative ecology in terms of users，channels，technologies，operations，industries and policies：mobile digitalization，trust crisis，technology empowerment，business transformation，industry reshuffle，and information regulation. Meanwhile，the global communicative ecology of 2019 is forecasted as follows：First，media changes brought by blockchain deserve attention. Second，vertical video may become a new spotlight of communication and commercial value. Third，the application of technology and “disenchantment” will be carried out simultaneously in the era of new technology. Fourth，there is hope for a revival of local news.
