Abstract:In 2018，the political situation of Israel was generally stable and its security situation was under control. People’s livelihood index，such as employment rate，price，income level，education benefits and other indicators were positive. National pride and happiness index of Israel still ranked high in the world；the domestic economy continued to demonstrate stability and grew moderately，with a GDP growth rate of 3.3%. Israel’s macroeconomic indicators and financial environment were good in 2018. The vitality of its innovative economy and the competitive advantage of the innovation nation were successfully maintained. However，the issue of social integration of Israeli Arabs still plagued Israel. International anti-Semitic and anti-Israel movements，along with the BDS movement，continued to ferment.March of Return，launched by the Palestinian，brought the Palestinian-Israeli peace issue back to the stage，while the passage of the Jewish nation-state law stirred waves within Israeli society once again. As a consequence，Israel’s international image encountered more questions. All these elements put the political wisdom of Netanyahu government to serious tests. Focusing on the social，economic and political aspects of Israel，this report describes the overall situation and basic national conditions of Israel in 2018. It also displays the basic dynamics of the current development of Israeli society.
