Abstract:2018 is the year of the Hungarian parliamentary election. The Hungarian ruling party，the Fidesz，won the election without suspense，thus opening the way for its third term. This guarantees the continuation of the government’s philosophy，and internal and external policies. It also determines the domestic political ecology and the balance of political parties. The Hungarian government had implemented a loose fiscal and income policy. Driven by consumption and investment，its economy has grown impressively in 2018. Hungary has maintained its strategic alliance and most important trade and investment partnerships with Germany. It has coordinated on regional and international affairs and strengthened cooperation in transportation and energy networks with the other three countries of the Visegrad Group. Hungary is committed to building a pragmatic relationship with Russia. On the issue of refugees，the Hungarian government refused to accept the “Sargentini Report” adopted by the European Parliament to initiate the Article 7 punitive measures against Hungary. Hungary has participated in the Shanghai Expo as a guest country of honor.
