Abstract:Over a long period，Hong Kong's local consciousness had no contradiction with Chinese nationalism.After the return of Hong Kong，the rise of right-wing localism proved to be a watershed for the development of localism.The right-wing localism scourged its left-wing counterpart without mercy，leading Hong Kong's localism get out of the control of Chinese nationalism.With the failure of Occupy Central movement，the rival factions of localism has sought cooperation on the political issues.However，the lack of national vision and national feelings makes it impossible for the localism camp to assume the responsibility of “democratization” and “localization” in Hong Kong.
