Abstract:At present，the global ESG fund market is developing rapidly，and although there is a lack of a unified definition，ESG themes are generally reflected through asset selection and allocation. Overseas markets have strengthened supervision over the investment behavior of fund managers，while there is no unified certification standard for ESG fund products in China. The number and scale of overseas ESG funds continue to grow，with Europe and United States leading the way，and Asia，especially China，playing an important role in the regional market. ESG integration and stewardship strategies are becoming mainstream，with institutional investors dominating，but individual investor interest is also growing. Since 2008，domestic ESG funds have been gradually developing，and institutions such as Industrial Bank have performed prominently in the field of ESG. The number and scale of domestic ESG funds have increased，but the downturn in the equity market has affected the scale and number of new issuances. Equity funds dominate，active funds dominate in equity，and fixed income products have increased attention. Pan-ESG theme funds are mature，and environmental protection theme funds are particularly prominent. Domestic ESG funds are dominated by individual investors，with better long-term returns，but weaker short-term returns. The positive changes on the policy side，the target side，the strategy side and the investor side indicate the future development of the ESG fund industry. The practical side will be deeply integrated into investment practice to enhance the long-term risk-adjusted rate of return.
