Abstract:American vocational education evaluation is an important reference in the field of global vocational education evaluation. After years of development，it has formed a vocational education evaluation system covering national，state，local and college levels. At present，the American vocational education evaluation reflects new progress in policy formulation and evaluation mode：On the one hand，the 21st century career and Technical Education Act puts forward new requirements of “performance accountability” for American vocational education evaluation；On the other hand，American community colleges have formed a teacher evaluation system with new characteristics of openness and inclusiveness，which has further promoted the reform and development of vocational education evaluation. In the future，American vocational education evaluation will pay more attention to the examination of students’ vocational skills，carry out teacher evaluation to promote teachers’ professional development，pay attention to scientific and fair evaluation methods，and integrate international evaluation elements.
