Abstract:During 1999-2019，the former president Abdulaziz Boutflika was in power，he launched four five-year plans. The country has achieved stability and development politically economically and socially. The cooperative level between China and Algeria significantly improved. Algeria has become one of the biggest markets for China’s overseas construction contractors，China has become Algeria’s largest source of imports since 2014. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune came to power from the turbulent situation at the end of 2019. He launched “New Algeria plan” in 2021 with the targets “promoting diversified development and economic growth”. Algeria is considered as an important partner under the “Belt and Road” Initiative. Both of the two countries pay attention to synergizing development strategies，further tap into potential for cooperation，so as to advance the China-Algeria comprehensive strategic partnership for new progress.
