2018年俄罗斯社会形势分析：改革和不平等的加剧

Abstract:In 2018， the key word of Russia's society was reform. In the case of continuous economic crisis， the public expected Putin to carry out comprehensive reforms during his new presidential term， improve their living standards and promote the development of various social undertakings. However， the pension system reform in 2018 was contrary to the expectations of the people and was opposed by them， especially the low-income groups. The income reduction and rising price brought by the pension system reform and the value-added tax reform increased the living burden for the low-income groups， thereby creating social inequality as well. Social inequality would intensify social conflicts and increase social risks. Under this situation， the “post-Crimea Consensus” which was formed in 2014 to maintain Russia's political and social stability was crippled. In this regard， the prospects of Russian society is not optimistic.
