Abstract:By the time of 1997 when the financial crisis swept through Asia,Korean cultural industry had achieved an unprecedented development.With the strong support of the government,the related laws and regulations are increasingly becoming sound and perfect.At that time,the strategies for “culture orientated national development” were also deeply implemented to various measures.The ministry of Culture,Sports and Tourism is the main administrative body of Korean cultural industry.It includes a planning coordination office,a cultural and arts policy office,a cultural content industry office,a sports and tourism policy office,a public communication office and a religious affairs office.“Culture and Arts Promotion Act” and “Public Performance Law” are the main laws of Korean cultural industry.In 2001,the establishment of the Korea Culture & Content Agency played a great role in the rapid development of the cultural industry.In 2004,the new established International Cultural Cooperation Team and the Culture and Arts Education Team promoted the spreading of Korean culture overseas and also enlarged the number of talents of this field.From 2005 to 2007,it was easy to see that the government's emphasis on copyright,so that the establishment of relevant departments had to keep pace.In 2007,the new Promotional Group for Asian Hub City of Culture aimed to expand the influence of Korean culture throughout the whole world.
