Abstract:In 2017，great changes have taken place in the paradigm of Japan’s politics under the Abe administration，which are reflected in the following aspects as the grand strategy，the basic legislation，the government and party politics and the defense policy. Japan has taken an unprecedented an active stance in its national strategy. The new legislation of incorporating Japan’s Self-Defense Force into the Constitution has been put into a practical stage. The growing dominance of Liberal Democratic Party（LDP）has caused great unbalance constitutional and administrational politics. A series of aggressive measures of the military policy have been discussed upon and implemented publicly. Those changes，ranging from national strategy，politics，security and foreign affairs，have had a tremendous impact on the national characters and orientation of Japan in the post-war era. There are strong signs that Japan is at a stage of historical transformation with the year 2017 marks a year of significant political changes
