Abstract:Syria is located in the heart of the Middle East，and it has been in the focus of the us-led western countries. In the beginning of 2011，as the outbreak of the Syrian civil war，the strategic advantage of the US in the Middle East weakened further. As a result，the US uses the Syrian issue for the sake of its own political and economic interests. This article takes the strategic layout of the US on the Middle East as the breakthrough point，reviewing the policy planning and strategy adjustments of the US on the Middle East as well as Syria before the crisis，concluding the main method of the US to treat the crisis，summing up the starting point and the focus of its strategy，so as to analyze the role of the US in the crisis.
