Abstract:In order to improve the awareness of young people’s political participation and attract more young people to vote in the election，Japan has introduced the legal system with the minimum voting age of eighteen years old. However，its implementation has run into difficulties due to the conservative political ideology，low economic and social status of young people and the deficiency in the legal system. However，young people’s growing experience，their concern about the New Security Legislation and the trend of diversification of political participation in the era of globalization may inspire more young people in Japan in the future to actively use the voting right to express their political aspirations，in order to improve their influence in the political voting.
