Abstract:The bilateral trade，foreign investment and official development assistance（ODA）are important aspects of economic cooperation between Japan and India. India has become ever more important in Japan’s foreign strategy，and the economic cooperation between Japan and India has experienced great progress since the twenty-first century. Especially in recent years，Japan has actively promoted infrastructure export to India，with high-speed rail and nuclear cooperation as key projects，and deeply involved in local development to expand overseas manufacturing and export platforms. In an attempt to enhance bilateral political and security cooperation with India，Japan aims at expanding its influence in South Asia and the neighbouring country countries around the Indian Ocean.
