Abstract:The relations between China and Central Asia has been further promoted under multilateral framework, based on the establishment of Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO). Chinese leaders carry out the policy: amicable, secure and prosperous neighborhood and new security concept that security is enhanced through cooperation, best explained by dealing with the relationship with countries in Central Asia. Leaders of both China and countries in Central Asia attach great importance to cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and stress that this will lift strategic relations up to a new level. China and countries in Central Asia are actively pursuing new ways to expand fields of their cooperation at the multilateral level. China and countries in Central Asia kept promoting bilateral cooperation, push forward multilateral cooperation and giving a new impetus to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, on a basis of the mutual security cooperation, shared development interest, good wish of friendly and harmonous neighborhood, the needs of maintaining regional stability and prosperity in chaotic and complex international environment, and the trend of economic regionalization and globalization. Establishment and development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have been played a positive role in enhance of friendly exchanges between China and countries of Central Asia and to have been overcome the obstacles in bilateral relations.
