奥巴马政府中东政策回顾与评析

Abstract:Since its coming into power in January 2009，the Obama administration has made a number of achievements in the Middle East：successful withdrawal from Iraq，thus ending the war in Iraq and promoting the strategic contraction from the Middle East；reaching with Iran a comprehensive framework agreement，marking a historic breakthrough in the Iranian nuclear issue. But it is undeniable that under the strong impact of the “Arab Spring”，the coping strategy of the Obama administration，despite its flexibility，has failed to help. The Middle East，which the United States faces today，is a fragmented，violent and perilous Middle East，a hostile Middle East to the United States as well. As the saying “Rome was not built in a day” goes，the negative image of the United States in the Middle East can by no means be reversed by a mere eight-year term of the Obama administration. Therefore，for the next American government，the Middle East will remain a difficult problem.
