Abstract:In the context of global financial crisis，the British government，which has been experiencing the plight resulting from the traditional market and industry mode，expects to achieve sustained economic growth and improved the people’s livelihood by the digital upgrading in information and communication industry. “Digital Britain”of strategic significance just came into being at this break point. It set out a series of guidelines and rolled out practical implementations，based on the perspectives of national development，in the aspects of motivating the sustainable development of the digital industry，upgrading the information technology infrastructure，providing personal skill training，enhancing public digital service coverage，ensuring the digital security，and promoting e-government. “Digital Britain”highlighted promoting the integration between information and communication industries and digital cultural and creative industries，and further strengthening the soft power of British cultural transmission. The Great Britain is facing various problems，including the budget crisis. However the British government has sketched out a blueprint for the digital age，which could provide some valuable lessons for China，especially for the integration of IT application and industrialization，building up Triple Play Service，and the public services improvement.
