Abstract:At present, in the context of the global economic downturn and heavy domestic social issues, New Zealand's overall economic growth was still very weak; and with the impact of the earthquake, the pace of economic growth in the short term was slow. However, the New Zealand economy is still in the recovery process owing to the following three stimulating factors of domestic consumption, export orientation, and post-earthquake reconstruction. In order to rebuild the healthy economic development environment, the New Zealand government had issued a series of comprehensive reform of the economic and social development measures, including the implementation of tax reform, further improvement of the social security system, sold out of state-owned assets stock and to solve problems such as high crime rates in indigenous Maori. The reform has achieved some results.
