Abstract:Due to the rescue measures of overcoming the European Debt Crisis，the Euro-zone economies have been gaining momentum since the middle of 2013. Germany has undoubtedly been taking the leading role in the European economic governance. But it also requires mutual learning and self-adjustments of Germany and the other member states of the EU in the process of European economic governance. In order to overcome the lacking of coordination of economic policies within the Euro-zone，which is the major cause of the crises，the Merkel government advocates establishing a long-term mechanism for the European economic integration through institutional reforms，such as the promotion of fiscal pact and banking union. However，due to the diverse interests within Germany and between the member states of EU，this will be a long-lasting process.
