Abstract:In the year 2013，after the German federal election，CDU/CSU and SPD formed a grand coalition government led by Chancellor Angela Merkel，who was elected for a third time. The economic situation in 2013 showed a moderate growth，with low inflation，reduced public debt and a balanced fiscal condition. The total number of the employed has reached a new record since 2007，which led to a prosperous labor market. The adjustments of pensions have been written in the Coalition Agreement to solve poverty in old age. The European debt crisis and the EU enlargement have caused the influx of immigrants into Germany from the neighbor countries. Chancellor Merkel began to develop a new European project in her third term as chancellor. China-Germany relations in 2013 develop stably，which have been further expanded and deepened in many fields.
