2014年西亚北非局势的特点及影响

Abstract:In 2014，the situation in West Asia and North Africa still remained volatile：the instability in Iraq，the continuous conflicts between the Palestinians and the Israelis，Libya on the brink of a “second civil war，” and the aftershocks of the Arab Spring. The Syrian civil war has already entered its fourth year，but we still do not see any hope of peace. The Kurdish issue and the rise of the extremist ISIS forces have had an impact on the territory and the borders of the Middle Eastern countries. Reviewing the 2014 Middle Eastern situation，we find continuing turbulence as well as some new situations and new features，many of which reveal that the political landscape in the Middle East is about to enter a major historical turning point.
