金砖国家基础研究国际合作现状与对策研究

Abstract:BRICS have a good foundation in basic research and have conducted fruitful practical cooperation. This report summarizes the policies and measures that BRICS implement in the development and cooperation of basic research. Based on the publication of papers by BRICS in the Web of Science database，an in-depth analysis is conducted on the cooperation between BRICS and other countries in the basic research. It was found that the BRICS generally attach great importance to basic research and international cooperation，and have established a joint funding mechanism within the BRICS. The collaborative publication of papers focuses on physics，chemistry，biology，materials science，astronomy，computer science，medicine，mathematics，and other fields. However，the overall cooperation strength between the BRICS in basic research is weak，and the cooperation between the BRICS and other countries is even weaker. Strategies and suggestions have been proposed to deepen international cooperation in basic research among BRICS，including strengthening communication on basic research policies，expanding joint research and development project funding，building basic research cooperation platforms，closely exchanging basic research personnel，and innovating forms of basic research cooperation.
