非洲大陆自由贸易区建设进展与前瞻（2023~2024）

Abstract:Against the backdrop of the complexity and uncertainty of global political and economic context，African countries have attached great importance to accelerating the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area（AfCFTA），with the aim of promoting the endogenous economic growth and building resilience to external shocks. Up to present，negotiations on the AfCFTA agreement have been well advanced and commercially meaningful trading have been realized under the Guided Trade Initiative. The implementation of the AfCFTA has entered a new phase of rapid advancement，with infrastructure integration，trade facilitation and regional value chains as key priorities. Looking forward，the implementation of the AfCFTA will grapple with a range of obstacles to economic development step by step，including infrastructure deficits，high cross-border transaction costs，low industrial diversification，and weak regional production networks，making economic integration inclusive，equitable，prosperous and sustainable. If fully implemented，the AfCFTA would contribute to promoting industrialization and structural transformation，strengthening regional value chains and reaping the benefits of global value chains.
