Abstract:Different countries and regions have taken multifarious paths in developing green finance. The European Union has taken the leading role in formulating and promulgating a number of exemplary policies and directives，providing a series of guidelines and methodological guidance for EU countries to promote the development of green finance market. France and Germany have supplemented and improved the green finance regarding to their own characteristics under the EU policies，while the UK has carried out corresponding green finance practices under the goal of net zero transition and actively engaged in international cooperation. In the Americas，the financial market of the United States is booming under the impetus of sustainable and impact investment，while South America in which Brazil is the main country，has realized green financing and ecological protection through the active development of green financial products. In Asia，China’s policy-led green finance system，Japan’s transition finance construction，South Korea’s carbon emission market system and Singapore’s green fintech have their own characteristics. The Africa in which Egypt is the main country，is in urgent need of the international community’s help to realize sustainable development due to its climate vulnerability and resource constraints. The Oceania region in which Australia is the main country，has seen rapid development of green finance，while small island developing states and least developed countries still need funding and assistance from the international community in facing the challenge of climate change. The global development of green finance is uneven，and the degree of development is closely related to national and regional economic factors，financial foundations，priorities etc. And there is an urgent need for international cooperation to promote the sustainable transition in all countries，especially in developing countries.
