2022年中国-太平洋岛国关系回顾

Abstract:2022 is a pivotal year for the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Pacific island countries. The two sides have had close high-level exchanges，and China has conducted a “comprehensive coverage” visit to Pacific island countries that have established diplomatic relations for the first time. Economic and trade cooperation continues to deepen，and collaboration within the framework of “the Belt and Road” Initiative is being steadily advanced. China has made significant progress in supporting Pacific island countries in addressing challenges and promoting economic recovery. In response to the development needs and the aspirations of the people in Pacific island countries，China has made significant efforts to establish six major cooperation platforms and enhance bilateral cooperation. The dialogue and cooperation mechanisms between the two sides are constantly improving，and a win-win cooperation situation is gradually forming，bringing new opportunities for the development of Pacific island countries. Pacific island countries are increasingly recognize China’s wisdom as a major country and its international responsibilities. They are willing to work in partnership with China to push bilateral relations into a new era.
