Abstract:Gangnam District is an administrative region of Seoul，the capital of South Korea. The real estate industry and training industry are the most prominent industries in Gangnam District. The industrial structure presents the social and cultural characteristics of the residents of Gangnam District，namely real estate investment and children’s education. In fact，real estate investment and children’s education are the main driving forces of the middle class in Gangnam District. They have been imitated by the middle class in other cities in ROK，but they have also caused serious social problems such as class differentiation and solidification. In recent years，the wealthy second-generation middle class who inherited their parents’ wealth，work，and education have gradually increased. They have inherited their parents’ wealth from generation to generation and have gradually separated from the living space of residents in other regions. This process of their continuous pursuit can be called The gentrification of the Korean-style middle class.
