Abstract:As China continues to march towards great rejuvenation of the nation，the international situation is still witnessing new changes and emerging challenges in regard to security and governance. In the midst of the complex changes of the times，the value and achievements of major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics have been constantly highlighted. In the face of Western suppression，China has calmly responded and fought without breaking，achieving effective overall planning of development and security. In terms of economy，China has maintained and strengthened its ties with the outside world，broadening external markets and resources for its sustainable development；In terms of security，China has committed itself to maintaining peace among major powers，forcefully countering the Western countries and making new preparations for the eventual reunification of the country. In addition to safeguarding its legitimate interests，China has also made new explorations in building a just and equitable international order. The concept of “true multilateralism” proposed by China has served to set the record straight in the international community，exposing the divisive nature of the small circle order advocated by the West. The introduction and further promotion of the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative have provided the international community with a new tool to fill the deficit in global governance and security，and strengthened the confidence of the world that “peace and development” remain the call of our day. In terms of international exchanges and cooperation，China has successfully hosted major international events including the Beijing Winter Olympics and the BRICS Summit in the past year，further developed bilateral relations with countries around the world，and actively participated in the governance of global issues，making outstanding contributions to enhancing mutual trust and reciprocity of the international community.
