Abstract:The COVID-19 has highlighted the security vulnerabilities of African countries, especially the spread of terrorism on the African continent. The COVID-19 not only hindered the anti-terrorism actions of African countries and international forces, but also triggered a deep economic and social crisis in African countries, which objectively contributed to the growth of terrorism. Under the COVID-19,world terrorism has seen a resurgence. The “Islamic State” has strengthened its ties with local terrorist organizations in Africa, and the frequency and intensity of terrorism activities on the African continent have increased. The COVID-19 has also provided propaganda opportunities for terrorist organizations. In addition to physical harm, there is also a deep risk of terrorism deconstructing African society. In the face of terrorism,African countries need to deal with it from multiple dimensions.
