Abstract:The outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020 has caused a great deal of uncertainties to the Asia-Pacific region. Such uncertainties，intertwined with other traditional factors which brought impacts to the regional situation，have become decisive in shaping the tendencies of regional political，economic and social momentum. As a major agency in the Asia-Pacific region，China’s relevant foreign policies and strategic choices made have undoubtedly been deeply influenced by the regional structure as well as interactions with other agencies within the region. For now and a span of time in the foreseeable future，China’s international influence in terms of economy，public health and culture will be continuously improved. At the same time，its neighboring countries will increase their expectations toward China for being a responsible regional power. In respective，the United States’ influence within the region will be undermined relatively. However，it is not to say that China will surpass the U.S. as the most influential power in the Asia-Pacific region. The US’s comprehensive competitiveness will remain strong，and maintain its advantage over China for long. As for specific topics and fields，the US’s may be lag behind by China. Generally，the competition between China and the U.S. will be dominating in the regional affairs.
