Abstract:Under the dual influence of the 2020 U.S. election and the COVID-19 pandemic，China-U.S. competition has further intensified，and the instability of the regional security situation has increased significantly. However，in the context of the pandemic，“crisis” and “opportunity” coexist. East Asian countries have cooperated in the fight against the pandemic，and the RCEP agreement was officially signed，demonstrating the strong resilience of East Asian cooperation in the face of the pandemic. With the intensification of strategic competition between China and the United States，the reorganization of the regional order has accelerated，which has also increased the difficulty of East Asian countries in choosing sides. How to manage the differences between China and the United States and maintain the stability of China-U.S. relations is a challenge facing China and the United States.
