Abstract:Terrorism poses a continuing challenge to Indonesia’s national security. During the COVID-19 pandemic，Indonesian terrorist groups became more active on the Internet，and the mobility of terrorists across borders has increased. The police are the main target of terrorist attacks which mostly conducted by “Lone wolf” terrorists or along with their family members. The rise of female terrorists has become a new phenomenon. The decline of ISIS may diversify Indonesia’s terrorist ideology. ASEAN has established a series of anti-terrorism mechanisms and continuously achieved cooperation results. Meanwhile，The cooperation to a certain extent is limited by some factors，including the differences in the perception of terrorist threats，the limitations of the “ASEAN Way” and the imperfection of the mechanism arrangements.
